Exercise Methods for Improving your Vertical Leap
Once you decide to start a vertical leap improvement program; there are several techniques that you can use to improve your vertical leap. By using these exercises and techniques; it will be possible to improve yourself with a sizable percentage. Of course, you must always be aware that improving your vertical leap is a process that takes time and patience to be successful. However, if you follow and execute the exercises and the techniques below; then success is virtually guaranteed.
- Make sure that you do lots of warm up before you start vertical leaping. Without proper warm up, your muscles can easily cramp up and you could even get injured in the process.
- Try to start the process with simple stretching exercises. This will help you stretch and condition all your lower muscles and your upper conjunction muscles. Try to do this for at least 10 minutes every day.
- Another important thing is strength training. You must have strength in order to be successful in your vertical leap program. Thus in order to increase your strength, you will have to do lots of pull ups and push ups in order to be successful. These will help strengthen your muscles.
- Do some gymnastics to help stretch your lower back and to help tone your muscles. Usually most successful athletes will train themselves with gymnastics to get a better performance.
- Use swimming exercises to help with your vertical leap. First of all swimming will improve the toning of your lower back due to the reduced weight that floating in the water creates. Also you can try some vertical leap exercises by trying to jump from inside the pool to the air. This is a very useful exercise as it is also used by NASA Astronauts to improve their leaping capability in a weight less environment.
- A very simple exercise that you must do every day is jumping with rope. As simple as this may sound, rope jumping helps improve strength and it also works a whole lot of lower muscles along with your hamstrings. In order to improve your vertical leap you must be able to work a whole group of muscles
- In the end of your exercise program, you should try to see how far that you have progresses by trying various vertical jumps. After all of the exercises above, you will be able to jump better than before.
- Make sure that you record your progress along the way. Record each improvement carefully.
- Don’t be discouraged by slow progress. These things take time.
- Make sure that you drink lots of water during your training. Water helps hydrate your muscles.
